Description
One of four contemporary dance videos made for a special concert celebrating the history of Gateshead Old Town Hall.
Our Role
Dancer and choreographer Vivien Wood, who produced the show, commissioned the Indigo Video Team to make four films evoking the atmosphere of the basement jail cells, which were used to house remand prisoners when the Town Hall was originally built in 1870.
Indigo were responsible for all aspects of the production from storyboard to the finished edit.
Outcome
The resulting pieces, featuring Vivien and dancers from the Newcastle-based Bad Taste Cru, are stunning film noir portraits of captivity and confinement.
Academy for Sustainable Communities
