Digital creative agency Indigo Multimedia produce welcome film for Kielder Water & Forest Park visitor centre.
Kielder Water & Forest Park has undertaken an impressive revamp to its exhibition at the Tower Knowe Visitor Centre. At the heart of this is an eight-minute film welcoming visitors to the Kielder Water & Forest Park, filmed by Indigo Multimedia, a digital creative agency based in Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
Indigo Multimedia was brought onto the scheme by project director
The main aim of the film is to give visitors a taste of the wide range of experiences, attractions and facilities on hand at Kielder Water & Forest Park, provide a glimpse into the lives of the people living and working in the area, while highlighting the beauty, peace and tranquillity of the region.
Kielder Water & Forest Park is a 250 square miles in total, features the largest man-made lake in northern Europe and is home to the largest forest in England. Among its many attractions is a wide range of water sports including waterskiing, sailing and fishing, plus miles of trails including forest walks, bridleways and mountain bike tracks. It is also home to wildlife such as otters, red deer and red squirrels.
“The Indigo team filmed the main attractions and points of interest throughout the Kielder Water & Forest Park area. They also interviewed and filmed 11 people who live and work in the region. They then edited all of the footage into videos that run in synchronisation on three adjacent screens in the Tower Knowe Visitor Centre.”
“As well as filming some of the impressive and beautiful scenery in the region and resident wildlife such as the red squirrels and bird life, we also talked to people who live and work at Kielder Water & Forest Park and filmed them going about their daily business. For example, we filmed a woman horse riding around Kielder Water in the snow, which was visually fantastic, and also interviewed staff who work at Kielder Castle cafe, which really gives a taste of life in the region.
The overall effect is an interesting and lively short film that is now the main feature of the newly revamped Tower Knowe Visitor Centre.”
